Conscientisation Programme at SNGHSS

INTRODUCTION What is conscientisation ? . Conscientisation is a neologism, coming from the Spanish word conscientization. It conveys the idea of developing , strengthening and changing consciousness. It was created in the field of education, specifically of adult education , in the early 1960’s , producing at the same time a new conception of consciousness. A conscientization programme was conducted to fulfill the semester requirements of B.Ed Course. So I along with my fellow student teachers at SNGHSS conducted a conscientization programme at the plus two level on 23 rd August 2022. Name of School : Sree Narayana Gurukulam Higher Secondary School, Chempazanty Date : 23 August 2022 Class : XII-CAB Batch Topic : Harmful Effects of Drug abuse, smoking and Alcohol RELAVANCE OF THE TOPIC. Plus two students of the age group 16-18 can be easily influenced by new generation unhealthy habits that can become a potential threat to life and future of the next generation.
